Welcome to Keswick Lecture Society
Keswick Lecture Society was founded in 1869. Every winter we have 10 lectures, typically on a wide range of topics including travel, natural history, mountaineering, other expeditions, art and culture….etc.
Meetings are held in the Queen’s Hall at Keswick School; see the locations page if you need help to find the school. There is ample parking on site. They take place on alternate Tuesdays starting in early October and running through until the beginning of March, with a break over Christmas/New Year. Lectures start at 7.30pm and usually last about 1 hour. They are normally illustrated.
The annual membership fee is £30 (£15 for students or under 17’s) which entitles you to attend all 10 lectures. Membership Cards are available from Keswick Library in the autumn, or you can join at the door on meeting nights. Non-members may attend lectures by paying £6 (£3 for students or under 17’s) at the door, on the night.
For more information about our lectures visit the Programme Page.
