VICTORIA MORRIS; John O’Groats to Lands End via County Tops.

Victoria Morris will talk about her 3,500-mile walk from John O’Groats to Land’s End via the highest point of every historic county on the British mainland. She is the first – and so far the only – person to have completed this journey on foot. Including everything from Scottish blizzards to tent invasion by slugs, this extreme walk took 211 days – and was equivalent to walking 1/7th of the way round the equator, and climbing 13 1/2 times the height of Everest.

Originally from the north west of England (though she has now defected to Yorkshire) Victoria is a keen long-distance walker, mountaineer and fell-runner. She has completed rounds of the Munros and Lakeland fells, as well as climbing notable peaks in the Arctic, Alps and Andes, and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
