Where Griffons Soar

From the orchids and snow-covered spires of the Pyrenees to the rolling plains and cork oak woodlands of Extremadura, Spain is, arguably, one of the finest wildlife destinations in Europe and internationally important for certain raptor species such as Imperial Eagle, Lammergeier and Black Vulture. It is also a major migration route to Africa, where, every year, thousands of birds make the crossing at the Straits of Gibraltar. Keith’s talk recalls some of the finest wildlife experiences in this picturesque country.
