Val Corbett
An illustrated tour of our rich and much-loved heritage of Arts and Crafts architecture, showing how though its zenith was actually short-lived it was influential in subsequent Lake District building design. The talk will explore why this happened in the Lake District and will also illustrate the decorative arts and garden design.
Val Corbett lives on the eastern fringes of the Lake District and has freelanced as a photographer for 28 years. During this time she has built up an extensive library of images from around Cumbria, concentrating on the Lake District. In addition she spend a good deal of time in the summer months photographing gardens, working around Britain and beyond.
